Northern Pelvic Connection was founded in 2023 after Kelly moved to a remote area of northern Ontario and recognized a gap in physiotherapy care, particularly pelvic health services. Kelly is passionate about creating a sustainable way to meet the pelvic health and whole body physiotherapy needs of individuals across remote parts of northern Ontario and is proud to call Manitoulin Island home. Kelly is a graduate of the University of Toronto from the MScPT program, is in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and has been practicing for 8 years in the areas of pelvic health and orthopedics.
Pelvic physiotherapy can start any time during pregnancy! Address aches, pains and leakage, prepare for birth mentally and physically, and learn how to help yourself for those early postpartum days.
Pelvic physiotherapy can help to reduce postpartum aches and pains, restore your core and pelvic floor strength, help you return to the activities you once loved to do and reduce the risk of pelvic health symptoms down the road.
Leaking is common, but not normal and treatable! You do not have to suffer in silence – pelvic health physiotherapy is here to help.
Learn how to calm your bladder, improve its capacity and connect to your pelvic floor properly so that you can regain control!
Treatment options include pressure management strategies, pelvic floor muscle exercises, pessaries or external support garments and constipation management and optimizing overall health via lifestyle modifications.. Most importantly, addressing fears regarding your prolapse may improve symptoms and help you to regain function!
Are you experiencing abdominal pain, painful periods, pain with sex, genital pain, low back pain, tailbone pain or hip pain? There is hope! Pelvic physiotherapy addresses pain holistically from a biopsychosocial approach.
Do you have a scheduled surgery such as a prostatectomy, hysterectomy, cyst removal, hernia repair or vaginoplasty? Undergoing radiation therapy? Pelvic physiotherapy can be an integral part of your journey pre and post-operatively.
Head, neck, shoulder, elbow, hand, knee, low back, hip, ankle or foot pain? With extensive orthopedic training and clinical experience, Kelly is able to treat pain anywhere in the body.
Yes, pelvic physiotherapy can help children too! Is your child experiencing bedwetting, daytime wetting, fecal staining in their underwear, constipation, holding patterns or dysfunctional voiding?
Are you experiencing erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain or preparing for an upcoming surgery (e.g. prostatectomy)? No need to wait or tough it out – pelvic physiotherapy can help.

Northern Pelvic Connection provides pelvic health and whole body physiotherapy for underserved areas of northern Ontario. As the only pelvic health physiotherapist in the areas of Manitoulin Island, Kelly is passionate about filling this gap in the healthcare system. Kelly provides clinical services on Manitoulin Island. Virtual care is offered province-wide.
Northern Pelvic Connection strives to make pelvic health and whole body physiotherapy accessible to all persons in remote areas of northern Ontario by providing care through virtual appointments. No need to miss a day of work to travel to an appointment, worry about winter travel or finding childcare, stress about leaving your home after having a baby, question safety leaving the house if you have mobility issues, wear a mask, reschedule an appointment during cold and flu season or fear white-coat syndrome. Virtual care is also a great option for areas of northern Ontario where the next Physiotherapist is several kilometers away or there are long waitlists for care in your community.
Northern Pelvic Connection is here to provide evidence-based, accessible, confidential and compassionate one-to-one care and looks beyond the pelvis to treat you holistically. Kelly takes the time to understand your fears, frustrations, hopelessness, loneliness and overwhelm. There’s no such thing as TMI or “too much information”!
Kelly is phenomenal! She has extensive knowledge and expertise in pelvic floor health, and she excels at creating a comfortable and relaxing environment. Kelly’s compassionate and personalized approach makes every session feel both reassuring and effective. Pelvic floor physiotherapy is for everyone - men, women, pregnant/postpartum or never had children… Trust me, your body will thank you!
Kelly is absolutely wonderful to work with. She’s not only caring and knowledgeable but also incredibly approachable (even virtually). Kelly actively listens to my needs and makes adjustments accordingly. After just three sessions, I’ve already noticed significant improvements in the specific areas I needed help with. I can't believe virtual pelvic floor physio can be done so effectively. I wish I had discovered her services years ago!
Kelly is great! I really like her approach to the issue and is able to provide great care. Kelly is genuinely interested in the problem and the patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is having pelvic issues.
Kelly is an excellent and most caring physiotherapist. She is helping me with both a hip and incontinence issue. She does a thorough and ongoing assessment of your problems during your treatments as well as explaining what is being done. She is also very clear as to how to do any exercises given re body positioning which can make a huge difference in outcomes. We are so lucky to have her in our area. I would highly recommend her if you are in need of her services. Thanks for all you are doing for me Kelly!
Kelly is such a warm vibrant person who is also incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. It’s not always easy finding the right healthcare provider, but she goes the extra mile to make sure her clients are heard, understood, and taken care of!
Beyond the fact that Kelly has two masters degrees, and is well educated, she genuinely cares about her clients and well-being. I have pursued several healthcare professionals over the past six months. I have explored Massage therapy from Rmt‘s and chiropractors but the healing and ongoing education is unsurpassed after just a few sessions with Kelly. Many thanks.
My experiences with Kelly Fleming PT are always very informative and helpful. Kelly is professional with a warm manner throughout every session. She used several approaches including hands on manual techniques, focused exercises and acupuncture in treating my plantar fasciitis, hip and lower back issues. I highly recommend Kelly. Grateful she is now in Manitowaning.
Kelly has been a heaven-sent to me! She is so knowledgeable, compassionate and encouraging. She has helped me immensely over the years with various physiotherapy needs. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for physiotherapy!
Kelly has been great to work with. I have received virtual and in-person, at home treatments. The quality of service offered is consistently excellent! Her client centered approach paired with her specialty in pelvic physiotherapy has been a great benefit to me.
Kelly is a lovely clinician who we often refer to because of the passion and care she brings to her work. She is an expert at what she does and she is also just a kind human being!
Kelly is so informative and incredibly personable. She has a wealth of information and I must say that every woman should see a pelvic floor physiotherapist (especially mamas). I have never felt more calm with labor and a renewed strength postpartum. Highly recommend her!
If you’re looking for assistance in strengthening your pelvic floor, or if you’ve prolapsed in postpartum, I highly recommend Kelly. She was very informative and helpful. She met me where I was at, and worked through our appointment; even with a fussy, teething five month old. She was able to reassure me; I left my appointments feeling capable, and confident that what I was experiencing was normal. She gave me recommendations, goals and exercises, but was able to gear them around a busy schedule for a new mom with lack of sleep. There was also no pressure for me to achieve these goals in a timely manner, it was based off of my day and what I felt capable of. An overall great virtual service offered for rural communities!!
Northern Pelvic Connection is located in Manitowaning on Manitoulin Island (lower level of the Assiginack Family Health Team). Services are also delivered virtually through videoconferencing anywhere in Ontario, Canada.
